Bring a blanket or chair and find a spot near Eco-J’s alpaca pasture as you relax with a beer in your own alpaca pint glass! Take a 20-minute alpaca tour to learn more about these adorable animals, then grab some tasty food from a local vendor. Families can explore the grounds or stop in the gift shop.

- Contributes towards garden production – over 30% of which is donated to the Northside Food Pantry
- Buys 185 bales of hay for more than 40 animals on the farm

Host Events
Looking for a unique space to hold your next event? The Eco-Justice Center is a great place to gather for a meeting or party! Buildings available for rental include both our Education Center and Founder’s Room. Space rental is $100 for two hours, plus $50 for each additional hour.

Education Center:
- Heated fully indoor space with: small sink, microwave, attached bathroom, and ample counter space
- Accommodates up to 15 people in a meeting style (around a table) or 20 people in a presentation style (chairs facing one way)

Founder’s Room:
- Located inside farm house
- Fully heated indoor space with bathroom
- Accommodates: banquet style with 9 tables seating 50-60, conference style with up to 9 tables seating 50, and theater style seating up to 70.

Birthday Parties
Interested in hosting a birthday party at Eco-J? Our “Birthday Party at the Farm” package is a fun learning experience:
- $120 for up to twelve people and $10 for each additional guest which includes:
- 2 hours of space rental in our Education Center
- A 45 minute tour of the grounds including animal encounters with our alpacas, goats, and chickens
- Guests are welcome to explore the grounds including our labyrinth, tree house, and trail
- 30 minutes before and after the rental period for set-up and clean-up
- Payment must be received 24 hours prior to the start of the event

Birthday Party FAQ:
- For children’s birthdays, are adult chaperones included in the 12 person head count? – Yes, this number includes adults
- Are infants included in party guest count? – No, children under the age of 2 are free of charge and excluded from the guest head count
- When can I schedule my birthday party? – Any day of the week Tuesday-Saturday between the hours of 8:00am and 4:00pm, we do not schedule on Sundays or Mondays
- Will my guests get to feed or pet the animals? – Yes, during the animal encounters, guests will get to pet an alpaca and feed our goats and chickens.
- What are the rules on decorations? – Decorations are allowed, but we do not permit the use of permanent fasteners (nails, screws, etc.) or any type of tape/adhesive that’s likely to damage the paint/woodwork (duct tape, etc.). Masking or painters’ tape are encouraged for any hanging decorations.

Hermitage
Escape to the Hermitage at the Eco-Justice Center—a cozy one-room cabin nestled in the woods, perfect for rest and reflection. With a fireplace, comfy seating, and a screened-in porch, it offers a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature.
Enjoy simple comforts like a small fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and composting toilet, with fresh water provided. Thoughtfully built with reclaimed materials and black walnut flooring from a tree grown on-site, it’s a space rooted in sustainability.
Stay solo or with a loved one for up to three nights and recharge in nature’s quiet embrace.

Things to Know
Guest stay information
Rental fee and booking:
$60/night for 2 adults (maximum of 2 people)
Non-refundable deposit of $20 must be made at least 48 hours prior to your stay in order to reserve the space.
*Please try to reach out for booking at least 4-7 days prior to your desired stay to allow time for processing and communication with the Hermitage Coordinator.
Length of stay:
Limited to 3 nights. Check-in after 2pm, check-out by 11am

Notes:
- WI-FI is spotty, but if you use data the signal is consistent.
- The hermitage is not wheelchair accessible.
- No smoking allowed on Eco-J grounds.
- Due to free range animals, no pets allowed with the exception of working service animals.
- There is no access to main farm house.
